After years of design and development, we are excited to introduce our latest and greatest product, the Adapt Motorsport Electronic Individual Throttle Body Kit (eITB) for classic Porsches. We are setting the benchmark in innovation, there are no direct comparable products in the market, and it is the cleanest, most simple and discrete system available.

Available in 2 bolt for 2.7, 3.0, 3.2 engines and 3 bolt for 964/993 3.6 engines in a variety of sizes and adapter options for almost every intake system available on the market. Compact, precision engineered to very tight tolerances for perfect operation easy setup and flexibility for current and future upgrades this is the one ITB system every owner needs.

Why Electronic? Drive by wire throttles are nothing new, almost every modern car is equipped with them, they allow for precise throttle control and the ability to simplify intake systems with fewer parts, wiring and modules to control.

  • No separate idle air control required, the electronic motors can adjust idle air.
  • Complete flexibility with throttle sensitivity mapping in the ECU. ITBs are known to be sensitive to throttle position, this can be a good or a bad thing depending on the application, engine specifications and environmental conditions. Throttle opening can be tuned for different pedal positions, and even have several maps for around town smooth driving, to aggressive canyon or circuit racing.
  • No cables or linkages to break, go out of adjustment, create drag and friction
  • Safe and redundant sensing, reduces the risk of stuck throttle engine over revs. The ECU will detect stuck throttle and engage safe engine rev limits/limp modes.
  • Advanced control of engine torque management for traction, launch and boost control for high performance applications.
  • Auto blip and rev matching for sequential gearbox applications

Advantages of the AMS E-ITBs

  • No linkages or levers between throttle and ITBs, or between right and left bank. Linkages allow for small amounts of error in backlash and flex, promoting inconsistencies in operation and variabilities in tuning and operation over time.

  • 2x Fuel rails for short EV14 fuel injectors
  • 2x connector kits for throttle drivers

Additional Information:

We recommend you have access to, or be a tuner familiar with dual DBW throttle systems for configuration as well as ITB systems for the installation, balancing and tuning of the system on a modern EFI ECU platform such as Motec, Emtron, ECUmaster.

We recommend the following ECU's. Others possible, but care should be taken to determine their suitability.

  • Motec M150
  • Emtron KV8
  • ECUmaster Pro 8

The system, with pedal requires 6 analogue sensor inputs, and 2x complete (4x pins) half bridge driver outputs for the motors. It is required that the ECU has fail to safe DBW features and engine limp modes and the ability to control two independent throttle motors. Dual wideband sensors should be installed for close loop fuel tuning of left and right banks, particularly at idle.

We are not able to provide complete tuning advice to enthusiast mechanics/owners who are installing ITBs or DBW or EFI systems for their first time.

Delivery time is approximately 6 weeks.
