We are excited to launch our 964/993 Cam Sensor Kits.
Taking a different approach, the sensor kits measure a trigger disc on the power steering side of the engine. This means that the kit can be easily installed with the engine in the car, with no drilling the camshaft inside the engine risking debris and potential engine damage.
The kit is available in 2 versions. The CNC sensor holder/cover are anodised black. The trigger discs are zinc plated yellow.
Version 1: Cars with Power Steering
For cars that retain the stock 964/993 power steering pump. This kit uses a sensor holder that fits to the power steering cover. A hole needs to be drilled in the original aluminium belt cover plate for the 964 models, or the plastic belt cover for the 993 models. The trigger disc replaces the washer under the power steering pulley bolt.
This kit includes:
- Sensor holder bracket
- Sensor and connector kit
- Trigger disc
- Fasteners and sealing O ring
- Spacers for 993 cover
Version 2: Cars with Power Steering Removed
For cars where the power steering pump is removed, the kit uses a trigger disc bolted to the end of the camshaft and a cover plate that bolts to the factory location that previously held the power steering bracket. The camshaft must retain the power steering drive extension, for some aftermarket camshafts where it is not supplied with this extension, this kit is not suitable.
This kit includes:
- Cover plate with sensor mount
- Sensor and connector kit
- Trigger disc
- Fasteners
Optional: Distributor Plug Kit
For cars where the distributor is removed for coil on plug applications we have a plug kit to block off the remaining hole in the crank case. This plug is suitable for all 6 cylinder 911 engines 2.7, 3.0, 3.2, 3.6.
Notes:
Power steering parts not included. Such as pulley, cover plate, bolt, fasteners.
